A Review of Beluga

I was traveling around the Cincy neighborhoods looking to get some sushi. I eat teak all the time, dancing wasabi is a mad house and Aqua really tries hard. So I went to Beluga, I was at beluga around 2004 and I ordered a filet and I was impressed the presentation was right it came on the cap of a huge shitake mushroom, with finely sliced potatoes and spinach. They did a good job! I went in to the place to get sushi and I wasn't even remotely impressed. Maybe the place is only impressive when your 5 cocktails deep. The service was horrible, it was an over bearing bar tender putting down his subordinate. The sushi rolls were pathetic and below average. I would suggest getting sushi from Kroger it would be cheaper and at least you know what you are getting. I ordered shrimp tempura an alaska roll and two rolls that consisted of oysters. The shrimp tempura was sorry, the alaska roll was sorry and the oyster rolls were sketchy and It made me worry about my health. Overall the place is a joke, it should have closed 3 years ago. You can tell they try hard at trying to get the east coast posh, you have to be cool to be here vibe going, but it just isn't working the place is a rackett. I would suggest going anywhere but here for sushi, Green Papaya, Teak, Dancing Wasabi, Bangcoki Bistro or Aqua. This place doesn't deserve to be patronized it is weak!
