Bayou Fish House is a fried fish bar that keeps things simple with a hint of spice. Try owner Grant Gieseler's signature combination battered and breaded fish at the 30-foot bar, or take it to go. The menu features perch, cod, whiting and the catch of the day, each served with fries and bread. As for sides, they've got coleslaw, but you have to try that gumbo to complete your slice of Louisiana in Newport.
