A slew of new restaurants have opened up within the year, from delis to pizza joints. Ditch the boring brown bag you've been toting all winter and check out a new place you could probably get to on foot.

Your boring bologna has nothin' on these naughty concoctions. Wicked-wich is a fresh idea on the usual sandwich, with choices like Beef Barbeque, Veggie Bella sandwich and the Broom Closet Salad. Or build your own with slow-cooked meats, veggies and cheese on butter-toasted bread.
Pizza slices don't have to conjure up images of grease-soaked paper plates. Capri Tavola Calda caters to the lunchtime crowd with homemade and healthy Italian, pizza, sandwiches and salads.
A second downtown location makes it easier to get your crepe on. "Savory" crepes include the Southwestern, Mediterranean or the Vegetarian, while "Sweet" crepes like the Cookie Monster are a tasty way to end a lunch date.
OK, we know Arnold's has been around forever, but they are offering a new Recession Buster lunch menu, with all lunch items costing $4.99. Options include Irish stew, spaghetti and sausage, turkey pot pie and burgers.
