A staple of Cincinnati’s Italian dining community, Campanello’s has been located, as its sign proclaims, “3 blocks from the beach” of the Ohio River for more than 25 years. The Campanello family had its straight-off-the-boat American start in the restaurant’s building in 1906. Campanello’s received some fame in the 1990s because Reds pitcher Jose Rijo made a habit of eating all his pregame meals at the restaurant, even having it shipped to him during the 1990 World Series. It's a nice cozy atmosphere with lots of personal attention.
