Best entree: Andy's Mediterranean Grille
Thirty restaurants submitted nearly 80 dishes in the Best of Taste competition. We got the chosen few to dish - pun intended - on their award-winning creations for Taste of Cincinnati.
THE DISH: Shish tawook (skewers of marinated and charbroiled chicken breast served on a bed of rice with labneh, a Lebanese yogurt spread, and garlic)
HOW MUCH: $5
FROM: Andy's Mediterranean Grille
THE QUOTE: "It's an award-winning marinade," says the restaurant's Andy Hajjar. "It's a family secret recipe, and it's made from the finest ingredients."
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT TASTE? "It's a fun, family atmosphere. You can meet a lot of people," Hajjar says. "You can enjoy the food from all over in one section of Cincinnati, and (there's) a lot of music and bands in a fun atmosphere. It's a giant festival."
