David Cook named his restaurant after the way his name sounds in a French accent—as it was when he worked the line at Cincinnati’s late great Maisonette. At his own place, he serves some of the most sophisticated food in the city. It’s two small dining rooms on Mount Adams filled with art, and staffed by knowledgeable servers. They can tell you what any of the exotic ingredients on Daveed’s menu are and describe his preparations. You’ll want to try foie gras however he makes it—the preparations change frequently. Linger over artisan cheese or wine from the extensive list and don't miss out on dessert. For the 10th anniversary, Daveed's has lowered prices and adding items to the menu.
