A cozy, quaint addition to MainStrasse Village, this wine bar is a must for lovers of the vine. Bouquet features a superb wine selection (hence its name), a knowledgeable staff and a small but well thought-out menu. Vegetarians rejoice: Bouquet offers tofu substitutes on all of their entrees. Currently, Bouquet's chef/owner is growing vegetables in a Covington community garden planted on Seventh Street. The full-service kitchen closes at 10 p.m., but it remains open for tapas until midnight. It's wonderful place to spend time with your sweetie, sweetie-to-be or your closest friends.

What’s more fun than putting fruit and sweets on skewers, then dunking them into an array of flavorful dipping sauces? Fondue, the upscale version of playing with your food, is front and center at the Melting Pot. The restaurant serves up four-course meals using fondue, starting with a cheese fondue, followed by salad, an entre and ending with the popular chocolate fondue. Entrees include items such as filet mignon and lobster tail, and patrons can pick from several dips for their entre. The Melting Pot designs its meals to be shared, and nothing compliments a night out more than a cocktail. The bar concocts specialty drinks like the Love Martini and the Chocolate Fontini.

Ok, so this would have to be a lunch date or romantic brunch. This quaint spot in a classic Covington brownstone exudes a French bohemian flavor. John Kimzey, the restaurant's new executive chef, has put together a menu that ranges from the "Big Easy" muffuletta breakfast sandwich with cappicola, salami, mortadella, provolone and olive to crab cakes. Or, you could show your love through pastry.
