They got their start doing pizza nights at Northside’s Take the Cake cafe.
Adriatico's Pizza

Adriatico’s Pizza in Clifton delivers until 1:30 a.m. during the week and 2:30 a.m. on the weekend. (Pretty handy for late-night college parties, too.) They will continue doing that from their new location on W. McMillan, which has now opened. They not only deliver, they now have a sit-down restaurant, serving their pizza, and a new menu, which includes appetizers, wings, french fries, pizza rolls, beer cheese and a house salad. There’s a sports-bar atmosphere in the 75-seat restaurant, with TVs and a big widescreen. They have a full liquor license.

Chi-nnati's offers "essential Chicago menu items" with a Cincinnati touch such as individual deep-dish pizzas, salads, sandwiches and the Chi-nnati's Hot Dog with an all-beef Vienna frank, mustard, relish, onion, tomatoes, pickle, sport peppers, celery salt and optional chili.

You don't have to leave town to enjoy a slice of the Big Apple's favorite pie. Sicily-born brothers Joe and John Graci perfected their family's secret New York-style pizza recipes in Queens in the 1950s and opened the first area Flying Pizza in Dayton in 1971. The pies are available in thin-crust and Sicilian varieties, but they also serve also traditional favorites such as calzones and hot Italian sandwiches. Pizza by the slice is just as popular here as it is in the big city, and it's even better washed down with a Brooklyn beer.

Pizzas made to order in less than five minutes, with the ingredients bought from local farmers markets whenever possible. The menu at this food truck (with the oven in a trailer) changes almost daily, but the basics are always for sale: cheese, pepperoni and basil pesto pizzas. Prices range from $5-$7.

This eatery is a lively but laid-back college hangout. The restaurant recently had a power charging station installed so patrons could "top off" their hybrid and electric vehicles while dining in.

Grab some Graeter's ice cream or a brownie to finish it off.

There’s also a Farmville, a Smokehouse and a Mediterranean, among others. They’re easily made either vegetarian or meat, and they even have a gluten-free crust.

A generous variety on the menu includes pasta dishes, sandwiches, calzones, and soups. Over 30 pizza topping options help create several specialty pizzas, such as alfredo chicken, or tomato and shrimp. The personal pizza, with a crispy yet doughy pan crust, is the perfect size so you can each get your favorite toppings.
