Proclaimed by many to be the best barbecue in Cincinnati, Jim Dandy's in Sharonville lives up to expectations. Their motto is "spiced and smoked, not boiled and soaked," and their tried-and-true methods hold true to that statement. They stay away from any artificial ingredients, use only wood firing (never propane or gas, and with seasoned hardwoods only), and fresh meat (never frozen). The sides — including green beans and cornbread — are also delicious. They cook with the "low and slow method" on site every day using traditional Southern black iron pits. In fact, you'll feel like you've been transported to the South when you walk in the door of this traditional barbecue joint. There's a drive-through, too, and live blues on Saturday nights.
