A legendary neighborhood bar and grille in Anderson Township, Salem Gardens is known for its burgers and award-winning wings. It’s referred to as “the friendly corner” by the regulars, who gather here for an after-work drink or a baseball game. They even have their own recipe for Cincinnati chili and cheese coneys. For beer lovers, there is quite the selection of microbrews on tap. The vintage indoor shuffleboard, which has been nestled in between the bar and the dining room for years, is free. Although the décor leaves something to be desired, the place draws a diverse crowd that comes for the friendly service and deliciously cheap food. Happy hour is 3 to 7 p.m. with $2 domestic bottles and 16-oz Bud Light drafts (bar only).
