Sometimes you just like to know what to expect in a restaurant. Morton’s delivers consistency way up at the high-end of the restaurant scale. You can expect Morton’s brand of quality and prestige, and a close adherence to all the steakhouse conventions. In their new location in Carew Tower, you can also look over Fountain Square at the mere mortals below. The beef is prime, the steaks are slabs, the baked potatoes are superspuds and the broccoli is treelike. It’s where you go for luxury straight-up, but it's not flashy. Try the Power Hour from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and again from 9:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. when bar bites are about $5 a plate, including mini filet mignon sandwiches and blue cheese French fries. Sure beats pretzels and chips. Morton's offers Power Hour every day from 5 to 6:30 p.m., which features discounted beverages and $5 per plate bar bites such as mini crab cakes, bleu cheese French fries and mini-steak sandwiches and cheeseburgers. Bar bites are available anytime of the day but are $5 per plate from 9 to close.
