Good Coffee - who would have thought?

Overall rating:

I have seen this place like a million times - never really took the time to stop - because I thought the place could never be good.
I was so wrong.
The coffee - just a simple house blend- was close to perfect. And the girl at the window was so pleasant.

I am now a believer - I plan to stop again.

New owner is a racist

I am.... WAS a frequent customer of Jet Coffee when former owner Chris was in charge; because of the ecomonic situation he was forced to sell. Gary is now the owner and is verbally abusive to his employees, one of the girls that worked there told me about what led her to quit. From the grapevine I am told he just led another girl to leave as well. He changes the hours of operation seems like daily and he told a black man waiting for the bus not to come around because he didn't want "his kind" hanging around the shop, he didn't want customers to see him there. Claims to be a strong Christian man when he turns away the black community from buying coffee, curses at his employees and verbally abuses them until they snap. Also, pays his employees under the table and wont put them on the payroll because he is too cheap to pay for it. I used to recommend people to Jet Coffee and it is a disgrace to Boone County to have a racist man like that serving our community....
