Dilly Cafe: User Reviews
I was reluctant to write this review because I like Dilly Deli and we’ve normally had pretty good service. The dining experience my family had on Friday, July 23rd 2011 was, however, completely unacceptable. My wife and our two children decided to dine at Dilly Deli. I checked opentable.com at 6:05, but reservations closed at 6PM. We decided to forge on and when we arrived, Brittany, the hostess gave us our pager and told us it would be 30-40 minutes. After 30 minutes my wife inquired of Brittany where we were on the list and Brittany said we were the next 4 top table. After another couple of minutes our pager went off, we went to Brittany and she said she hit the wrong pager number and stated again we were the next table. She then sat a party of two at a table for 4. Over the next 10-15 minutes, Brittany sat 3 more parties at tables which would have accommodated us. We expressed our displeasure to Brittany and her manager, during which Brittany was rude and completely unapologetic. Needless to say, we left and made other arrangements. My wife stopped by the next day and discussed this with one of the owners; he did not seem very concerned with our dining experience and stated that Brittany was one of his better employees. If Brittany is a good employee, I’m truly sorry for Dilly Deli, because of her behavior and attitude it will be a very long time, if at all, that we purchase wine or dine at Dilly Deli.
