Northern Kentuckians think Covington Chili is legendary--the diner has been serving chili since 1936. Daily, the kitchen uses 140 pounds of ground beef and a secret blend of spices to make the chili. Devotees say it's Cincinnati chili with a Northern Kentucky twist. Covington Chili serves legendary breakfasts also. They serve breakfast all day, but the two breakfast specials are served only from 7:30-11 a.m. You can get two eggs, homefries and your choice of meat for only $3.75. Or choose two eggs served with biscuits and gravy for $3.25 For lunch, Covington Chili offers gyros, double decker burgers made with ground chuck, a new chicken wrap, tuna salad sandwiches, and a variety of other sandwiches. The dinner menu includes pork chops and grilled chicken breast. If you'd like to experience Covington Chili, bring cash. That's the only payment the diner accepts.
