don't go to brothers if you expect good for,service or drinks

y fiance' & I took my 12 yr old daughter to Newport for the the weekdend for spring break. We went to Brothers for dinner the last night of our trip. Right off the bat the hostess was rude, our waiter was in another world, the food was so horrible I took 2 bites & was finished. There wings for an appetizer were ok, who can mess up frozen wings? If I hadn't eaten the wings, I would have been starved! The drinks were waterd down & for get getting soda rifills. I will NEVER step foot in this place ever again! And my suggestion to you is to the the same!

Last night I went to Brother's after the Reds game to have a couple drinks with my fiancee. We got our drinks fast and the deals were good. We were enjoying ourselves for the 10 minutes we were there drinking. Then, two completely wasted guys walked in covered in sweat, screaming "SHOTS" at the top of their lungs, and slapping the bar as hard as they could right next to us. Everyone at the bar was looking at them. The heavier one, covered in sweat, was screaming at the bartenders as they would just ignore them. The other one, wearing a Toy Story fanny pack was trying to eat other peoples food, throw straws at the wait staff, and then decided to take a power nap at the bar. As soon as he woke from his power nap, he walked over to a girl, bit her in the arm, and split her beer. They were screaming cuss words and homophobic slurs. Without saying a word, me and my fiancee made eye contact with each other and decided it was time to go to another bar. That will be the last time we go back to Brother's Bar.

My friends and i always want to go to brothers! they have a great happy hour every day (all alcohol is half off)
The bartenders there are soooooo funny and make great shots.
Especially the one with the glasses.
They have really good servers as well!
I cant wait to go back when their patio is open

i have been to Brothers twice now and each time has been poor. The waitstaff is just OK, but the food is terrible. The prices are high and did not enjoy my time there

I visited Brothers for the 3rd time this past weekend and I have got to say that I had so much fun. We went for dinner but the girls and I decided to stay practically all night because the atmosphere was refreshing. Great service, no smoke and the music selections were very upbeat. The drink specials are better than most and they had a good-looking crowd as well as staff. I was rather impressed and can most definitely say that this will be our new night spot as well as dinner. I would recommend any friend to visit. They should especially order from the bartender with glasses, what a hunk. ;-)

I have been to Brothers 5 times. 3 out of the 5 times we went to the bar and left shortly after because the drink specials sucked AND the bartenders were absolutely terrible!!!! Who hires these bartenders is what I want to know?? they never smiled, it seems they try hard to do as little as possible and not acknowledge you, and they are definitely not personable or friendly. The two other times I went I was waited on by the same server who was excellent and so friendly!!! The food is really not that great but at least the same server was friendly and hospitable. She was smart, delivered quick service, and we never had to ask for refills on our soft drinks. Overall, I would eat there again (despite the average food) if I had the same server but forget going to the bar! Bottom line: the bartenders are terrible, get new bartenders!!!

No service on on empty Monday afternoon

We went here on a Monday afternoon and the place was empty. I saw only 2 other patrons. After we were seated, we did not receive any type of service for 10 minutes so we walked out. All of the waitress were huddled together at the bar talking. I immediately called and asked for the manager. I told her the situation. She told me to come back and the first round was on the house. NO thank you! This place has lost my business forever.

i have never been around a trashier group of people. the women at this bar were disgusting and as would be fit the men were all "bros". i expected more from this bar given its location but i was disappointed.

Just went here for the first time a couple days ago. The Levee needed something this nice. the food was really good-I had one of the burgers-and the server( valerie I think) was verry good to us. Was thre around 12:30 and they were very busy but me and the kids had a great time for lunch. The view of Cinci from the patio is really neat.

Another chance, another disappointment

Went to brothers yesterday and had by far another worst experience. Two of the bartenders (one red head and one short blond head) were so negative and nasty, complaining about their barbacks and the tips they were receiving. Maybe if they weren't so negative, they would received better tips. They were short with customers and they were always saying, "I can't wait to get out of here." Also, the red head bartender gave my boyfriend's card to another customer. They stated they didn't charge his card but when we called the bank, there were two different transactions made. I was just drinking diet coke, and we there for 3 hours and they refilled my drink once and never asked me if i wanted anything until after she found out she gave my bf's card away. And she only asked once. A downtown company were having a get together for an employee and the bartenders were so upset about the tips they were getting. Well maybe if they were not so rude and negative they would have gotten better tips. They have a good happy hour but to risk my credit card to be given to another customer, i rather take my business somewhere else. I was upset and a little emotional at the time, and i was crying because this is a hassle, the red head ask the other bartender, "Why is she crying, it is not even her credit card?" I stated to her that i was his girlfriend and it does matter. For all she didn't know, we could have joint banking accounts and it does affect me. She has no sympathy and i felt like she didn't even care she gave his card away. NEVER AGAIN go to Brothers, and i advise everyone not to go there. There are plenty of other bars with better service.
