This Batavia coffeehouse has several specialty sandwiches and salads, including the Spillway Salad (named after a spillway in the river behind the coffeehouse) with dried cranberries, granny smith apples, walnuts, feta cheese and chicken breast. They also carry soups, like the loaded potato. Pick from 30 different types of teas or try one of their specialty coffees, like the popular Riverside Turtle, with white chocolate, hazelnut and caramel syrup. Belgium waffles are made-to-order with fresh fruit on the weekends. And every Thursday night a community drum circle gathers around 7 p.m. They also have a rotating local artist of the month, whose work is displayed on the walls and is always for sale.
