Bar Seventy-One took over the space where Porch of All Sorts used to be, and it is a completely new place. While they have tons of TVs everywhere you look, Bar Seventy-One is a little less sports bar and more restaurant/night club. They have an American menu with more than just bar food (although they do have that, too, don’t worry), with Cajun lamb chops, gourmet burgers, shrimp cocktails, mini sliders, salads and tasty desserts like a deep fried Twinkie. They have plenty of weekly events to keep patrons coming back, with bands on Friday and Saturday nights, karaoke on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. and ladies night on Thursdays with a DJ. Mix it up a little with Wango Tango night on Wednesdays for free ballroom dancing lessons at 7 p.m., and then show off your moves for open dancing from 8-11 p.m.
