Oh, how we loved to be scolded by the Ting Tings’ blonde vixen of a singer. “Shut Up and Let Me Go” she demands, and we obey. “That’s Not My Name,” she chides us in her charming Manchester accent, and we offer our groveling apologies, even though we’re pretty sure we just called her Katie (maybe she prefers Katherine?). The Ting Tings are finally due to release the follow-up to their smash-hit 2008 debut, “We Started Nothing,” this fall—and while we’re tempted to tell them to hurry up and get on with it, we know Katie White gives the orders, not us.
