45. Marina Diamandis
In case you haven’t guessed yet—yes, we’re Anglophiles. Diamandis—better known by her stage name, Marina and the Diamonds—is yet another of England’s ever-growing crop of beguiling young female artists, with a sound that’s sort of Kate Bush gone dance-pop and a Mila Kunis-like mix of exotic good looks (credit her Greek father and Welsh mother) and girl-next-door charm. Not even her occasionally goofy fashion sense (a canary-yellow bear jacket? really?) can keep her hotness at bay. On the song “Hollywood,” she sings that she’s “obsessed with the mess that’s America.” Back atcha, Marina!
