Shearwater, 'The Golden Archipelago'
Ex-Okkervil River man Jonathan Melburg’s sorta-solo project, Shearwater follow-up 2008’s “Rook” with this beautifully spare new set. Fans know what they’re getting into here, but those not in-the-know would do well to give “Golden” at least a preview listen. It's ideally deployed spring evening ambi-folk.
