Meet some of the DJs who keep parties hot, dance floors full around the region

Metromix
A DJ is someone who plays music. That’s a broad definition, right? Because when Metromix set out to highlight some of the DJs you’ve seen at your favorite bars and clubs, we found a group of people who are, well, tough to categorize.
Some play Top 40 hits; some shudder at the thought. Some consider themselves artists; some just want to entertain the masses. Some get into fights, some play Vanilla Ice for the right amount of cash, some witness female nudity…oh, you’ll see.
Here, we highlight a handful of local DJs who represent only a fraction of the talent that’s out there. We picked these people because they made our radar somehow – through word-of-mouth, through their online popularity, through savvy self-promotion – but we’re eager to hear who else is out there.
