Though she's just 25, it seems as though the British soul belter with the lifetime-of-pain voice has been around for ages. This is her sixth studio album, but it's billed as the sequel to her multi-platinum debut from 2003 and repeats the concept of covering soul gems from her elders in the USA. Her treatments of oldies are inventive and engaging, but the highlight is the reworking of a 2009 Broken Bells song, The High Road.
