I love bands that have many musicians; bands with more than just the typical guitar/bass/drum setup – it keeps things interesting because there’s just so much more to see and hear. The Young Republic is an eight-piece outfit that finds a way to mix folk, country, and even blues and jazz by using instruments like flutes and fiddles (they’ve also got one of the finest rhythm sections around) to create a type of orchestrated, indie pop you have never heard before.
