Brainstorming Plan B for 10 leading ladies
By S. James Snyder, Special to Metromix
In “The Back-up Plan,” Jennifer Lopez plays a woman who decides she doesn’t need to wait for marriage to have a baby. It’s her back-up plan, and it’s inevitably complicated by actually meeting the man of her dreams. But if “The Back-up Plan” doesn't pan out for Lopez at the box office, what should she do for a real life Plan B?
Our back-up plan suggestion: Keep working the whole music thing—in a musical. Lopez has already proven herself as a platinum-selling singer, so why not let her voice soar in an ensemble musical, where she can share the screen with someone just a little more dynamic than Alex O’Loughlin. Maybe it’s time to see if Lopez’s "Out of Sight" co-star George Clooney can sing?
