Eddie Izzard stars as Long John Silver in Syfy’s latest reinvention of a classic tale, which arrives Saturday in a single one-night, four-hour burst. While one should never judge in advance of viewing, it is fair to note that the scheduling – a Saturday dump in the middle of sweeps – is not promising.
