'The Blind Side' nominated for Best Picture
Some pundits had been predicting an Oscar touchdown for the faith 'n' football blockbuster, but it wasn't seen as a sure bet. The only other nomination the film received was for its star, Sandra Bullock. That makes it an extreme longshot to take home the prize. The victory here is the nomination.
