I enjoyed Twilight, and it got better as the movie went on. I havent read the book, its something I would like to do though. I had heard from so many people that this movie was absolutely amazin, as it has quite an obsessed fan base. I have to admit, I was a bit disappointed. As someone else pointed out-the acting was not impressive and some of it was so cheesy! I thought it would have a bit more depth-perhaps I was expecting too much.

When I heard twilight mentioned on NPR I ran to B&N and bought it so I could read it before going to see it. In one week I read the first two books. Tonight I saw the movie, of course the book is better, as usual. The casting of the female characters was right on, but I thought the male casting left a lot to be desired. I was especially disappointed in the casing of Carlisle and James. Also I think that if a screenplay and/or a budget doesn't lend itself to the best of the best in special effects, it is better to leave them out completely. I would find myself almost lost in the movie, until an scene that included "special effects", then I was brought right back to earth. Overall I thought it was a very good teen romance, not as hot as Interview, but still PG-13 good, and sometimes that's what a girl needs (even one who is out of her teens).

Although it's hard to criticize 'irrevocable' self-destructive love, in league with gothic novels like Wuthering Heights, 'Twilight' serves has a campy cult film, rather than an authentic credible love story. Seen as shameless camp, it's wonderful, with the cartoon makeup and the stiff overacting. One has to be in blooming female adolescence to see it otherwise.

Twilight was AMAZING! I have already seen it twice and it gets better each time! It is my ALL TIME FAVORITE MOVIE! If you have not seen it, GO! You won't regret it. Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are SO HOT! But Robert is HOTTER! It is the best love story. Some parts of it are even funny! Everyone in the cast did a perfect job! I don't think anyone could have made this movie any better! Go see IT! READ THE BOOKS TOO! PRAY THEY MAKE A MOVIE OF NEW MOON, ECLIPSE, AND BREAKING DAWN! I GAVE IT INFINITY OUT OF 5 STARS! THAT"S HOW GOOD IT IS! I AM PROBABLY GOING TO SEE IT 100 MORE TIMES BEFORE IT IS TAKEN OUT OF THEATERS!

The people most likely to enjoy this movie are the fans of the book. As long as they don't have very high expectations, they will be entertained. This movie is extremely cheesy and some of the acting is rather...well bad. Overall, I would give it three stars.
