“Goldfinger” (1964)
Stealthy. Sexy. Suave. Serious. The opening of “Goldfinger” says it all. Hoisting himself out of a river, a wet-suited Bond (Sean Connery) executes a covert op by placing bombs in military vehicles. Shedding his camouflage, Bond reveals a perfectly-pressed tuxedo, and makes his smooth entrance into the hotel room of his Mexican lover. Sensing she’s betrayed him, he kills his attacker as explosions ignite in the distance. Is there anything this man can’t do?
