Gabriel García Márquez’s acclaimed novel “Love in the Time of Cholera” is a story about undying affection, but the 2007 movie version lacked that needed spark to keep the passion alive through the decades. Bardem played Florentino Ariza, the man who waits half a century for the chance to win over the heart of his true love, bedding hundreds of women in empty conquests as his hair slowly falls out and his mustache fades to gray.
