It's been a long and exhausting road, but I'm thrilled, grateful and pumped to be back in the semifinals for the fifth time.
Katherine and I had a bit of a rough time last week due to the tough critique for our Viennese waltz and our wardrobe malfunction in the trio dance. During Tuesday's show, we were sweating bullets and definitely thought it could have been us saying goodbye.
Once again, I am so thankful to all of you for keeping us alive. Your support week after week means the world to us and helps us get through each week's grueling rehearsals. We are going to work harder this week and really go for the kill. Hopefully, it will be enough to slip into the finals.
I've really been enjoying training this week and both dances suit Katherine nicely. This week, we have the quickstep and salsa, both of which are favorites of mine. We have great songs and themes for each one, and I'm looking forward to treading the boards .
I suspect people may have forgotten how sassy and sexy Katherine can be, so I'm glad we'll have a chance to remind them with the salsa. If you look back at our jive, samba and Argentine tango, you'll realize that "Welsh Wiggles" can really get down! I'm going to have to make the judges rememember that.
It is also Mother's Day this weekend and I can't wait to treat my mom to something nice, even though all she will probably want is a card! She hasn't had the best of health the last few months, but the doctors recently gave her the all-clear. For that, I am extremely grateful.
All right, y'all have a good weekend and enjoy Mothers Day. Family is always first so remember to make time for them.
