A musical about male stripping? That's what Channing Tatum might have in store for Broadway.
Tatum's producing partner Reid Carolin, who wrote the screenplay for Magic Mike, said they have big plans to send the much buzzed-about story to the stage.
"We are doing Broadway," said Carolin last night on the red carpet. "We are working on it as a Broadway show, which would be a different story, more of a romp, more of a fun night out at a club with a story. I'm almost more excited about that than the movie because I think it's the perfect thing for women to go see on Broadway, to be participants in the show."
Tatum added that while he doesn't know "anything" about Broadway musicals, "I would love to do Broadway."
Plans have been in the works for some time. "We've been talking about that since we filmed this movie," said Adam Rodriguez.
Would he do it? "I'd do a very special guest appearance for sure," he said, laughing.
Alex Pettyfer said he would "absolutely" do the Broadway show. "I think we should all do the opening night."
But before committing, Joe Manganiello wanted to know if he'd be required to sing. "It's a Broadway show, right?"
