This is one of those places that could easily be in the "feel good" category (if there was one). The food is top-notch, the atmosphere is inviting, and the owners are welcoming.

I obviously can't speak for the prior posters, but the East End Cafe has always been a good time for myself and my friends. "Colorful" at times, but we have never had any issues there. Drinks are reasonable and there's ample space for a group to make their own. It is, in no sorted words, a dive bar. The couple of occasions I have taken a girl there it was fine. Never got hassled and had a good time on a light budget. Coffee at Joe's, dinner at Terry's, and drinks and the East End. I've got no complaints and I'll do it again.

They need to have steady hours for the kitchen if they expect people to go out of there way to come in, will they be open? Or will they be closed? Who knows! I met a friend there this past Monday evening, at 9 PM, the kitchen was already closed! They advertise a later time on the closing of the kitchen! So we both took the time to meet downtown at a restaurant whos kitchen closes whenever they feel like it, a waste of time.

We went on their 3rd day open. It was filled, the service was efficient and friendly. Get carry out as the seating is limited. The food was generous and delicious. Good hearty fare with a gourmet twist. Salads were fresh and satisfying with varied good flavors. Could be a new favorite.

I just moved to the NKY and started school at N.K.U. I heard all these people talking about this SKYLINE....i thought they were talkin' about the chili place. Then i found the "real" SKYLINE. This place is awesome. Its a bar where you want to get dunk with some friends or get some good food. I love this place and will be back.....it already feels like home.

I stopped in at fish house before going out drinkiing for the evening for a bite to eat. At first i was worried it was too expernsive but after receiving high quality service and sushi i realized it was all worth it. Me and my date ordered a St. Gregory roll to start and it was probably the best roll that i have ever pallated although a little spicy it was very good. after ordering a couple more standard rolls we decided to split the plank sea bass i have to say it was quite delicious. Our server bisert was one of the better sservers i have had you could tell he had good knowledge of the menu and geuinely cared about us as his customers. Overall the experience was awesome the fish house is a great place to grab a bite to eat before going out in Mt. Adams.

I stop on regular basis when in KY. My favorite is "Rueben" sandwich on rye. Try "sauerkaut" on pizza, don't believe you can get "sauerkaut" on pizza at anyother restaurant in Cinti/Ky area, my 1st and I loved it ! Karen in Kenwood

Oct. 30th, went to watch a friends band play. Never been here before. All night long there was a group of guys who were basically stalking people around and harassing the patrons. Eventually there was a fight involving these same group of people, who knew?! The owner ran downstairs, hid. Never to show his face again! The band had to step in to help the ONE bouncer who eventually said, "I don't get paid enough to deal with this s%@t!". This was said after this group went outside and decided to get their guns and fire shots. At whom or where, who knows. Thank goodness no one was seriously hurt. Everyone in this bar had said something about these guys all night long! The owner and workers had more than enough time to deal with this situation before it got out of hand! The owners reaction was just weak ands scared. Don't own a bar if you can't man up to take care of your patrons! I recommend never going there, I know my friends and I won't be.

* THEY ARE NOT CLOSED ON SUNDAY * I grew up in California and have missed sushi. I was highly skeptical about a sushi buffet. I have tried sushi at Chinese buffets and was (and still am) absolutely unimpressed. Kyojin is not your typical buffet. There is a selection of asian-buffet-type dishes/salad bar/dessert bar along with excellent seafood and delicious sushi. I am a regular and would highly recommend a visit. I have no idea what the previous reviewer means by "kind of sushi-like." There is a full sushi bar and the sushi chefs are accommodating and will make rolls to order (included in the buffet price). The Kyojin website has some good pictures if you're more visual. In case the site is not listed above: kyojincincinnati dot com Mon-Sat lunch is $10, a fantastic bargain. Dinner is $17 - $20 A non-sushi bar buffet price is available if you're not a fan. If you're paying $7-$10 per non-vegetarian roll at another restaurant (or Kroger, why?), try Kyojin and sample an excellent variety of sashimi and other sushi.

My family of four and myself all ate here and were EXTREMELY displeased. 3 out of the 5 meals had problems. The other two were good, but I can do a better job in my own kitchen. My girlfriends meal was chicken over angel hair pasta, with a tomato/mushroom sauce. The chicken had a burnt taste to it, the sauce was a bit salty, and they initially forgot the mushrooms. These items can all be corrected, so finally after my girlfriend tried to eat it she said to the waitress that it wasn't good and that she didn't want it. Anyother place I go to eat at, which is everywhere, I'm always asked what was wrong with it, do I want the chef to remake the meal, or do I want something else altogther....well none of this was communicated; instead we were told sorry, this has NEVER happened, and the manager took it off the bill. If this had never happened at my restaurant I wouldn't let the customer leave with an unsatisfied palate...for the FIRST time. Two people in our party had gotten the same meal and were sick all night long. The waitress never asked us if we wanted refills, I should say another FINE bottle of pepsi. Basically for how busy she was, which was so busy she had to sit at the bar and chit chat, the service we recieved was RIDICULOUS! To top it off we called the following day to speak with the owner concerning our wonderful visit. The first time he said, "The waitress has been here for 14 years and that you cannot please everyone." My girlfriend also called the owner after hearing this ridiculous retort and told him that we would tell everyone we knew of the service, she would never hold any of her business' functions there, and that she was going to call the BBB if we didn't recieve an apology ( that's asking alot, I know). In reply he said, "Tell everyone you know about your experience, call the BBB, I don't care if you wouldn't hold your business functions here, and to top it off he refused to apologize for the service. In close, I would much rather eat my own food, go to Bravos, or even Maggianos....Maybe not entirely authentic, but it beats the heck out of this place. Just in case you do want to brave this sorry excuse for AUTHENTIC Italian cuisine, our lovely waitress was Debbie.

The pasta, meat and fish entrees are great. The table bread is as good as it gets. Also visit the bakery for fresh bread on weekdays. Dessert specials are superb. The only fault of this fine restaurant is that most items are overpriced, particularly the pasta items.
bradford2 wrote about Main Cup
I am a huge fan of great coffee and good food. The Main Cup delivers BOTH and does it with an appropriately freindly attitude. No babbling baristas or snootie servers here!! The food has always been really, really fresh and very tasty. The atmosphere is small town coffee antiquey and the place is clean. I've chatted with Milford locals while dining there so I find that the Main Ciup also serves as a place that brings the community together. The only downfalls are 1. on a cold winter's day, you'll smell the roasting smoke from the coffee roaster and it is not always the best smell when it fills the room and the windows and doors are all closed. 2. the restroom is located through the kitchen. This is the reason for the 2 out of 5 stars for ambiance. Bottom line: you must try this place! Hopefullly the owner will sell his coffee online someday, but that's a whole other story . . . .
