Although it was designed for the speaking voice, the ornate, 610-seat theater is used regularly as a concert venue, including chamber music concerts by Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra musicians (the CSO Chamber Players), and is the longtime home of the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra. It was designed by the famed Cincinnati architecture firm Samuel Hannaford & Sons, which also designed Music Hall. Six statues sculpted by Cincinnatian Clement J. Barnhorn depict the American heroes to whom the building is dedicated: sailors, soldiers, Marines and pioneers. Memorial Hall is also on the National Register of Historic Places.
