Maybe there's nothing to it, but it feels like a lot of the names coming into town lately are dredging up some old memories.
Like Tone Loc, who was in Forest Park last week, and whose "Funky Cold Medina" you probably grinded to awkwardly at a junior high dance.
Or Chris Hardwick, who popped up in a few shows September at the Funny Bone, reminding us of a time when Jenny McCarthy wasn't a Jim Carrey-dating mom with a cause but the sexy girl making fart jokes with Hardwick on MTV's "Singled Out."
Or Pauly Shore, who also did the Funny Bone last month. Yeah, remember him?
Sure you do, buhhh-dy.
Anyway, November's a month full of old, familiar faces, too: Kevin Nealon, who has had a successful run on Showtime's' "Weeds," but will be forever linked to "Saturday Night Live's" Weekend Update.
And OK Go, who made performance art of out treadmills for their captivating 2006 video for "Here It Goes Again."
We've got Megadeth and REO Speedwagon and Insane Clown Posse and Blondie.
Heck, we're even getting Davy Jones, who probably joined the Monkees before you were born.
So soak it all in and enjoy your blasts from the past this month. Just try not to relive too much - keep the big hair in check and the jeans unpegged.
And whatever you do, don't dig up your old Pauly Shore quotes.
"No weezing the juice" does not deserve a comeback.
Remember this music?
