For the first time in their 45 seasons of existence, the Bengals are training in Downtown Cincinnati and at their own facility. For those who are used to going to Georgetown, the days of showing up when practice begins and being guaranteed a seat are over.

A record number of fans could view the 16 practices that begin Friday and conclude Aug. 19.

After surprising many by finishing 9-7 and earning their third playoff spot under head coach Marvin Lewis, the Bengals are trying to earn back-to-back playoff appearances for the first time in 30 years.

With roster spots up for grabs at many positions, this should be the most competitive camp in Lewis’ 10 seasons, with many questions to be answered over the next six weeks.

Where to go

Five practices will be held inside Paul Brown Stadium (no tickets required), with the other 11 sessions on the practice fields just west of the stadium.

For sessions on the practice fields, temporary seating will be installed but tickets (free) will be required. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of each practice, beginning at 10 a.m.

For all practices, parking is available in the county lots adjacent to the stadium along Mehring Way for $10.

What to bring, or not

Fans will be allowed to bring small soft-sided coolers and unopened bottles of water and food into all practices. No chairs or other temporary seating will be allowed.

At the conclusion of every practice, groups of players will be available for autographs for 15 minutes. No autographs will be allowed as players enter or leave the practice fields.
