Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum's Memorial Day Weekend
Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum - 4521 Spring Grove Ave. - Cincinnati (Spring Grove Village)Celebration with special tributes. Civil War section adorned with more than 1,000 flags set by the Cub Scouts. Stop by Gwen Mooney Funeral Home to view Photo Tribute Display of 350 veterans and their stories provided by their family. Boy Scouts accepting worn, torn, faded and badly soiled flags for retirement ceremony on June 25. Dress for weather.
Event dates:
May 23 : 4 p.m. Cub Scout Pack 708 place flags on graves. Scouts receive surprise visit by Abraham Lincoln from Stan Wernz, Lincoln historian.
May 24 : 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. World Trade Center Steel Display in front area of funeral home.
