Favorite drink to make: Manhattans. I’m a freak for vermouth and the complexity of that drink is so perfect.
Favorite drink to drink: Sazeracs. It’s rye and absinthe and sugar and just a little bit of lemon. It’s perfect.
Drink that says a customer’s cool: It’s the most flattering thing when somebody comes in and says, “Make me whatever you want, surprise me. Unless the place is slammed, in which case you should order a beer.
Drink that says a customer’s lame: Cosmopolitans. Or Appletinis. If somebody really loves cosmos, I don’t wan to offend them at all – but there are so many great cocktails out there.
Worst drink anyone’s ordered from you: I always think those Jagerbombs are the worst thing ever. Mixing Red Bull with anything first of all I don’t get. I think that’s just disgusting.
Most famous person you’ve served: Scott Sloan (from 700WLW)
Biggest or smallest tip you’ve received: Somebody tipped me 100 bucks once…somebody left a couple dimes once.
What do you love most about bartending? I love the interaction with people and the chance to be creative.
