Drink slingers share what’s hot, what’s not at area bars

Next time you go out for a drink, pay close attention to the person behind the bar. This bartender is not merely serving you an alcoholic beverage – he’s making your drink with a nod of approval (or a frown of disgust), taking note of the tip you leave and maybe even enjoying your smile.
As part of this year's bar guide, we asked you to name your favorite area bartenders, and then we attempted to get into the heads of the drink slingers you love most.
Boy, did we learn a few things.
