Bengals games are expensive – what if you could just drink your way to a pair of tickets?  The Cheviot Pub Crawl goes down every Thursday, but the Thursdays before home games you could win a chance for two Bengals tickets, just for completing the crawl.

Start your crawl at anytime and in any order. Just ask for an official checklist from the first bar you visit so each bartender can mark off when you’ve ordered a drink.

Purchasing alcohol is not required; you can order water if you want (bonus for DDs). Remember to turn in your filled-out sheet at the end because they’ll call you that night if you’ve won the tickets.

Roswell's Bar

Roswell's Bar

3735 Glenmore Ave. - Cheviot
513-661-9679

A small bar, but you never have to wait long. Drinks are cheap and the age-range is diverse. Try the tempting Bomb Pop, a grown-up version of those red, white and blue rocket popsicles (cherry vodka, Smirnoff Ice and DeKuyper Blue Curacao).

Keller's Cheviot Cafe

Keller's Cheviot Cafe

3737 Glenmore Ave. - Cincinnati
513-661-9678

Your next stop might be the neighboring Keller’s. The smell of popcorn welcomes you inside, where there are two bars, loud rock music and ample seating when it’s not crowded.

Cheviot Sports Tavern

Cheviot Sports Tavern

3613 Harrison Ave. - Cincinnati
513-661-9464

It’s a younger, more college-aged crowd at the Sports Tavern, with pop and hip hop music pumping. The indoor cornhole sets are always a hit, and they’ve also got pool tables. If you grew up around here, you’re almost guaranteed to run into someone you know. Spend time catching up (or avoiding them) at the super long bar, but don’t spend too much time chatting – you’re on a mission to finish this crawl.

Skins Place

3508 Harrison Ave. - Cheviot
513-661-5853

Across and up the street, the atmosphere at Skins can be either mellow or rowdy, depending on the clientele, which is usually a mix of young people and middle-aged folks. There are people playing pool, Keno or having a friendly, spirited conversation with the bartender as rock and country music play overhead. For such a small bar, they’ve got a heck of a lot of TVs: eight total and all tuned to something different. Step outside for a breather, where they’ve got a fire pit on the patio.

Second Street Saloon

Second Street Saloon

3703 Harrison Ave. - Cincinnati
513-389-1900

This may be a good spot to start or end your night. Second Street is a small, casual place with a big beautiful bar and welcoming feel. Hop on a bar stool and you may be immediately attended to by the bartender, even though she’s busy filling drinks for other crawlers and catching up with regulars.
