Woodies Tavern is the place for sports, beer and entertainment. In other words, what more do you need? This 21-and-over bar is compared by its management to "Cheers", where everyone is welcome and regulars swarm the place, especially on weekends for the live music, when rock and country bands keep the party going every Friday and Saturday. The bar hosts Power Hour(s) from 6-9 p.m. weekdays, with specials on domestic drafts and well drinks, as well as $10 five-bottle domestic buckets from 3-6 p.m. Woodies currently has a limited menu, and features 16 beers on tap. While the bar packs several traditional diversions such as pool (free, on Mondays) and Silver Strike Bowling, there's a dart tourney every Saturday night (sign up starts at 7 p.m.) and karaoke Tuesdays and Thursdays.
