Mayday is a hipster hot-spot for catching up-and-coming local musicians and cheap drinks. You've got to try one of their signature hot dogs if you get the munchies, but their menu does go beyond tubular meats and includes pulled pork, chicken sandwiches and decadent sides like mac and cheese, soft pretzels, and please note: you can add a fried egg to everything on the menu for only $1.50. They also have a Sunday brunch, with a menu that changes weekly. Everything is less than $10 and often comes from local ingredients. Mayday has a large craft beer, many of which are served in cans, and pretty huge whiskey menu including rye, Kentucky bourbon and Irish and Scotch whiskey. Draft beers rotate weekly.
