Owned and operated by the famous country singer of the same name, this nightclub remains one of the strangest haunted sites in the Midwest and has proven to be a major attraction for ghost hunters and enthusiasts alike. The fiction surrounding the supposedly haunted place is downright bone-chilling. The story goes: The building was constructed in the 1850s and was used as a slaughterhouse where a woman was beheaded by two men. It was then a speakeasy in the 1920s, where several unsolved mob murders were reported. People have been reporting paranormal encounters since the place opened in the 1970s.
