It's a tie! Abigail Street’s menu takes inspiration from all over, but it fits easily into the new Vine Street scene. The wine bar takes one half of the room and the tables nestle up to a long bench on the opposite wall, with room enough for one plaid-clad waiter to fit between each one. It isn’t quite a cheap night out but as long as you go with people who don’t mind your fork in their plate every few minutes, you will have plenty of delicious things to try. The wine on tap came from closer to home, but still an adventure and international wine loyalists still have an extensive list of bottles to choose from.

It's a tie – Marty's got the same number of votes, so we're declaring them co-winners. Consider Marty's a near-Jungle Jim's wine selection with neighborhood quaintness. It also features a small menu, weekend live music and an eclectic crowd ranging from patrons in their 20s to 70s.
Bouquet Restaurant and Wine Bar

A cozy, quaint addition to MainStrasse Village, this wine bar is a must for lovers of the vine. Bouquet features a superb wine selection (hence its name), a knowledgeable staff and a small but well thought-out menu. Vegetarians rejoice: Bouquet offers tofu substitutes on all of their entrees. Currently, Bouquet's chef/owner is growing vegetables in a Covington community garden planted on Seventh Street. The full-service kitchen closes at 10 p.m., but it remains open for tapas until midnight. It's wonderful place to spend time with your sweetie, sweetie-to-be or your closest friends.

If you love a good glass of wine, why go to any ol' bar? Piccolo is a bar specializing in wines and is located next to the Piazza Discepoli in Glendale. They offer an extensive wine menu along with unique cocktails and beers, including a certified organic brew. They serve finger food like Mediterranean olives, hummus and a cheese board. They also added a menu of tapas, small plates priced $4-$9.

The Wine Guy Bistro, opened in November 2010, is a big, beautiful place with wooden tables and squishy seats and bottles of wine lining the walls. It's candle-lit and cozy and would be a great date spot if you're into that sort of thing. The Wine Guy's menu allows you to order tapas-sized portions of most of the entrees. It's an American bistro concept with items like cajun scallops, chicken marsala and spicy shrimp pasta. Their flight menus are updated four times a year.
The Wise Owl

The Wise Owl is a great place to unwind after your shopping trip at IKEA or to meet friends after work for drinks and tapas. A recent addition to West Chester's growing entertainment scene, this wine bar offers patrons a choice of over 200 artisan wines, hand crafted cocktails and full service bar. There is also a menu of small plate tapas to enjoy with your glass or bottle of wine. Live music happens Wednesday, Friday and every other Saturday.
