Adonis is the perfect spot for a night of dancing and drinking in a gay-friendly atmosphere. While the bar is renowned for its Saturday night drag shows and spacious dance floor, there are also two other rooms conducive to striking up a flirty conversation: a smaller martini lounge and the main area with a full bar and fireplaces. The dancing goes until 3:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. In the summer months, the pool is open to allow you to cool off, but during the rest of the year the pool’s patio provides a place for smokers.

If you’re in the mood for some dancing, Arnie’s is the place to be with DJs spinning for the jam-packed dance floor on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 p.m. to close. Catch your breath at one of the booths, or chill out on the porch that winds around the side of the building for views of Newport on the Levee. During the day, Arnie’s is much tamer. As a restaurant, Arnie's serves sandwiches, pizzas and other entrees, while 13 HD flat screen TVs are tuned to sports. Arnie’s also features happy hour from 4-9 p.m. on weekdays, including $2 domestics, $3 wells and house wines and half-off all dips.

Longworth’s has a historic and longstanding tradition in Mount Adams. It is named after the one-time owners of the real estate under Mount Adams, and it is actually a converted fire house. This tavern (turned bar at night) is always hopping and has an outdoor patio that is open during nice weather. Food is offered, but Longworth’s is much more of a party scene than a restaurant. Free pool and jukebox on Mondays, DJs and karaoke throughout the week and DJs and bands on the weekends. It is a Mount Adams hot spot for young professionals and college-aged kids looking to have a good time.

Who knew sushi and nightclubs went so well together? At Mixx Ultra Lounge, the signature sauce is hot and the scene is even hotter, with lounge furniture, DJs and three floors. They also pride themselves with a diverse clientele.
Head there during the week to try their sushi rolls, then put on your finest for the weekend, where it’s the place to see and be seen. Just make sure to wipe that teriyaki sauce off your mouth before talking to the cutie by the bar.

Dress to impress at night or stop by after work for their happy hour from 4-8 p.m. Monday-Friday, with $5 martinis and $5 appetizers. Also, no greasy apps here; instead, think “green” for healthy menu items, like salads, hummus and yogurt. Happy hour parties for large and small groups are also available.

Open since early 2011, this mega dance club in Longworth Hall will cater to the hard-partying crowd of Cincinnati. Featuring state-of-the-art sound, two levels of dancing, video and lighting, including lasers(!), Pulse will have your senses racing all night long. Open three nights a week--Thursday, Friday and Saturday--the doors open at 9 PM each day. Cover prices each night, generally $5 for those 21 and up. It's also a good spot for those under 21, but you'll have to pay a higher cover charge.
